EdTech Travel Guide: Mapping Safe, Smart, and Equitable Journeys (Midday Layover)
Pack your bags and grab your passport — it’s time to embark on a learning adventure through the world of educational technology! In this interactive session, educators will explore how to evaluate digital tools using five key “destinations”: Diversity & Bias, Learning Science, Safety & Security, Research & Validation, and Standards Alignment.
Just like seasoned travelers use maps and guides to find the best routes, participants will learn how to navigate the vast landscape of EdTech tools with confidence and clarity. Together, we’ll identify which apps are worth the trip, which need a layover for improvement, and which should be left off the itinerary altogether.
By the end of this session, you’ll have your own EdTech Passport — a practical framework and checklist that helps ensure every digital learning journey is safe, equitable, and filled with meaningful learning experiences.
