2025-2026 Workshops A Year of Sparks

This year’s workshops guided educators through collaborative learning focused on strengthening high-quality online instruction. Sessions explored topics such as effective edtech and AI tools, student engagement, instructional presence, and interactive virtual learning strategies. Through authentic “voices from the field,” participants shared practical ideas and real-world approaches that continue to strengthen online teaching across Wisconsin.

Six educators from online schools throughout the state were featured, showcasing the innovative and impactful work happening in Wisconsin.

AI Policies and Student Usage (JEDI): JEDI teacher provided a timely look at navigating the world of Artificial Intelligence in the classroom. Sharing frameworks for establishing clear student AI policies and demonstrating how to turn AI into a collaborative tool rather than a hurdle.

Mastering Discussion-Based Assessments (CAVE): CAVE teacher explored the art of the DBA, offering techniques to make these assessments feel more like a natural conversation. These strategies help teachers gauge student mastery while building stronger one-on-one relationships.
